Description
Dr. Pepper "King of Beverages" was utilized by Dr. Pepper from 1910 to 1914. Anheuser-Busch approached Gideon-Anderson in 1974 to make a decorative storage boxes for their upcoming centennial in 1976 that measure 17 3/4 x 12 1/4 x 11 3/4. This request in 1974 resulted in Gideon-Anderson utilizing old press plates and remanufacturing boxes with trademarks of yesteryear as storage boxes with lids, these boxes never transported beverages. This particular interior stand is a brand (wood burned) and was used until Gideon-Anderson sold for the first time at the end of 1976. I have sales literature from Gideon-Anderson from the mid-70's and personally know the salesman it belonged to. Still a valuable and rare box, original to Gideon-Anderson, just not an original Dr. Pepper crate/box
