Vintage, ~Aldrich & Aldrich~ Athletic Clothing Womens Sports/Gym Uniform.
from the 1930's to early 1940's.  2 piece, co-ordinated Uniform or outfit..
most likely a Women's Tennis, or possibly Basketball team uniform
(could be a general use, Gym outfit too?)
Ivory color, & Magenta Red collared Dress with Button-down front. Single chest-pocket
Belted at waist, Skirt has 'darted' pleats. Also a center tuck pleat on back &
'darted' pleats at sleeves too (see close-ups). Beautiful, crisp fabric with a
flecked/cross-hatch pattern (visible in close-ups). *1 very small spot, below left sleeve at side
slightly visible in Photo of Back (not very noticeable at all).
Second piece, is like an 'over' Dress. Sleeveless, with pleated front & same design on back.
Magenta Red color, "Mary Emma" stitched in White at Left shoulder.
Material feels to be 100% Cotton, very light knit similar to a "tafetta" fabric.

This Great uniform was found along with another similar uniform that includes Shorts
both belonged to the same Woman & are from the same era. Also up for sale in my eBay store.
