RARE IMPORTANT WIENER WERKSTATTE KIMONO FUR LINED JOSEF HOFFMAN PIERROT KLIMT

Description

I've tried and tried to locate the exact silk that this is made from -- can't seem to find it and maybe someone out there can identify the actual designer.  It's certainly a period piece and has some damage as you'll see although nothing that can't be restored.  I'm certain it's made by one of the secessionists and possibly from the Wiener Werkstatte -- it also has the oriental styling that Poiret favored.
The velveteen is in excellent condition and the entire piece is lined with curly lamb which isn't stiff and dried -- fairly supple.  There are some seams coming undone as I pictured...happy to supply more photos if you're interested.
It's small, with armpit to armpit laid flat at 16 1/2" across (or as best I can guestimate), sleeves at 19 1/2" from collar seam and length of 44". I think it was probably custom made as possibly a travel outfit? I searched for a label but it would be tough to find a spot for one with the fur lining.  I'm way too faint of heart to open any seams to check the selvage for marks.   It's astonishing for sure.
