About  the plates
Plates are custom  made from high-strength, aircraft grade aluminum and anodized blue for  quality laser engraving. They weigh about half as much as steel plates,  but will hold up to the pressures of the instrument. They are standard  sized neck plates designed to the Fender  standard, the plates are 2" x 2.5" with holes on center at 1.5" and 2",  respectively, and about 2mm thick.
About  the engraving
High resolution  engraving is performed with a laser. Under normal conditions, the  engraving should last for many years. The plate can withstand  temperature extremes and can get wet. Only physical abrasion will affect  the quality of the engraving.
What designs  work best?
Good quality  photos with a range of colors are best. Send us the best quality image  that you have - don't crop it, just describe any special layout  adjustments you want us to make. Text and line graphics look great.
What  doesn't work well?
Low contrast  image. Very thin lines. Very small  lettering. Subtle shading or highlighting.

Gasket  & Screws
You will receive a black plastic mounting gasket and 4 chrome-plated screws.  You can decide whether or not you want to use them, based on your own preferences.
