All of the art work and collectibles being sold by Adams-Byrd Fine Art & Antiques have been collected and selected one at a time by the proprietor, an art historian with many years of training and experience in university art history departments, museums, galleries, and historic sites both in the U.S. and abroad.  The business has been based in the Washington, D.C. area for many years.  The art and collectibles that we are offering to eBay buyers are special and unique pieces that have been carefully “curated” by us.
PHOTOGRAPHY NOTE:
In some of the photos there is interference from reflections and glare (since there is glass over the needlework).
This delightful cross stitch panel is an encyclopedia of Halloween themes and motifs.
A row of six black cats is at the top.
Two jack-o-lanterns (one sad pumpkin and one happy / smiling pumpkin) frame the word HAPPY.
At the bottom there is a row of six black witches’ hats.
The “text” (inside a rectangular black border that is about 3 ½” x 4 5/8”), in addition to HAPPY HALLOWEEN, includes:
GOBLINS
BLACK CATS
WITCHES
BATS
OWLS
GHOSTS
The fabric is off white / ivory.
The thread colors include black, orange and rust.
It is in a simple metal photo frame (with a wood grain finish) with glass.
The frame is about 5 1/8” x 7 1/8”.
The needlework panel has been wrapped around a
cardboard backing (under 4 ¾” x 6 7/8”).
It is only wrapped; it is not glued ---- so you could incorporate this little panel on a small pillow, purse, item of clothing, etc.
If you use it “as is”, you can display the small framed cross-stitch on a tabletop easel or small stand --- or you can attach a hook/hanger to the back to hang it on the wall.
You can also upgrade the framing!
This handmade American needlework craft is almost thirty years old.
On the back of the frame, the following is handwritten on a piece of masking tape:
Made by TM in 1986.
The needlework is in excellent condition since it has been protected under glass.
This well done handstitched Halloween “sampler” would be a great addition to a collection of unique Halloween décor items.

Payment
: For auction items, payment is expected within 3 days of purchase.
