    Description

Commercial Map of China showing Treaty ports, Port of Foreign Control, Railways, Telegraphs and Waterways, etc. 1899
Detailed Statistical Map of China, published by the US Bureau of Statistics, Department of Commerce and Labor. The map examines the primary trading ports in China, Hong Kong and the Philippines, illustrating primary trade routes, railroad lines, proposed railroad lines, telegraphs, cable, canals and navigable rivers. The map reflects the trade activity in China in the years at the start of the Boxer Rebellion, with the Americans, British, French, Italians and Germans all controlling the railways, as noted on the map.
    Measures 15" x 15"
The Map has some amazing color to it. This was pulled out of a book from the Commerce and Finance report from 1899.
Unfortunately the book was not viable but the map was.
Shows the Chinese Empire, Mongolia, Tibet and more.
