Antique Victorian Iredescent Green Ornate Jet Cape Capelet Mantle Mourning

Beautiful Victorian collar! One of my most favorite pieces I have come across! Very well made with a courdoroy type material that shines an iridescent green and goldish/brown. Color changes as the light moves across the material. Adorned with 8 French Jet appliqués, bead trim and beaded fringe. A good amount of the fringe is missing along one side, and scattered missing trim. Can either be restored or cut off. I think the piece would be more suitable without the fringe. Lined with a nice black cotton. Very sturdy piece and material. Closes with one hook an eye. Maybe missing some, and can easily be added on. Each segment measures approx. 5.25" in length and approx. 8.25" to beaded fringe. I have around a 17" shoulder length and it fits quite nicely. Very comfortable and not tight around the neck closure. Perfect weight. Please ask if any questions.
