Up for your consideration is this beautiful C. M. Bergmann Bisque Doll. The doll's head was manufactured by Simon Halbig of Germany. This beautiful has light brown hair and blue eyes. She has a newer velvet dress made in the Victorian Style. She has a matching
velvet hat. I'm not sure about how old the shoes are. They appear to be older but I'm not sure if they were original to her. She has an old slip and pantaloons. She's signed on the back "SIMON HALBIG, C.M. BERGMANN, and the number 3".
Her arms and legs are ball jointed and bend at the elbows and the knees. She has pierced ears and is missing an earring. The ear lobe on the right has a small chip around the hole and the other, (right), has a small chip in the back over the hole. Nothing major in my opinion. She has a small dent on the back of her leg and a few chips at the top front of her legs. Her feet look good. Her eyelashes are shriveled
up.
Her socks are old. She has all her fingers. Her wig is replaced and has glue residue on the scalp in the back of her head. I purchased her years ago at an estate sale and she has a tag that reads her body is marked Germany, but I haven't been able to find a mark. Although I didn't look real good.
There is the normal wear to the body, some crazing and paint loss but no repairs that I can find. Her back heel on the right shoes has a small bend to the sole. She measures approx. 24 1/2" long. A great find for the right collector. Thank you for looking.
