Description

Antique doll, beautiful Kestner doll, dated about 1910. Her bisque socket head is incised:
J.D.K 260 Germany 48/51.
Big brown glass sleep eyes, open mouth with upper teeth and modeled tongue, soft curly handmade mohair wig, original antique composition body with red stamp. Fine doll dress made of cotton with apron, a doll cap, a dark red doll dress and underwear, socks and white shoes with tiny pearls. She stands approx 18.8" tall. Her bisque socket head is in good condition (I did the lamp test), fine bisque, no hairlines, no cracks, few rubs. Her antique composition body has the old factory finish with age wear, I can see some chipped paint. Her hands have all fingers (red lines are gone). She is nicely strung. This wonderful doll is a sunshine, she has a lovely face. Her dollwig  is a nice replacement. The wig is not glued to the head, I can stuff her head for safe shipping. The clothes are in good condition, no odours, I guess her clothes are younger.
