Pair of antique vintage mid to late 1800s Victorian jeweled sleeves of brown, beige & cream cotton jacquard tapestry material, possibly French. Accented with crosshatched metallic gold braid, & red glass faceted flatback stones at each intersection. Pleated cream net along the edge of each wrist; brass hook & eye closure at slit opening. Lined in cream cotton. Presumed salvaged from a lady's jacket, coat or dress. Unfortunately, this was all I found; I'm sure the original 19th Century garment was truly spectacular when new. A creative person out there could use these to make something quite wonderful for the 21st Century! Hopefully, they would still be used as sleeves for a garment (they'd be GORGEOUS with velvet), & NOT be cut up; they are a decent size, & were an easy fit on the modern-size arms of my mannequin.
Sleeves are in pretty decent shape overall, considering their age. Outer fabric has a little scattered minor wear, & some typical staining at underarms, but it hides well amid the brown patterned fabric. Cream net at wrists shows some age yellowing & browning. Metallic braid has age darkening & a bit of scattered wear, not bad, & a couple places need a few stitches to tack it down. Most of the foil backing on the red stones is worn away, & some of the sewn-on stones are missing, or need to be restitched; I found some similar-looking, vintage 1920s red Czech glass flatbacks in my stash, as shown in photo...I will include them in case you wish to replace the missing ones. They are smaller in size, so not an exact match (but better than nothing!). I show a close-up with 2 of the Czech stones placed where they were missing among the original ones, & also show a close-up of the 2 kinds side by side for comparison.

used/preowned items obtained from various estates. Often, they will NOT be in mint condition,
but I'll certainly mention or show any flaw or imperfection that I find. (However, signs of
normal use or age should be expected & is NOT considered a flaw!) Also, most cloth items may
have that typical old or musty smell from long-term storage. Others may have come from estates
with pets or smoking...I will alert you to these possible allergens if I think the item has
been recently exposed to them. I offer all items exactly as I get them, so any required
cleaning, freshening, etc. will be left to the buyer. If possible, I do try to go over all
clothing & fabrics with a lint roller before shipping. I have a cat; he is never in contact
with the merchandise, BUT it is always possible that a stray hair COULD come with your purchase
no matter how hard I try to prevent it. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may
have, as I may have overlooked something that may be of importance to YOU.
VINTAGE CLOTHING SIZING: It's NOT the same as today's sizing! Vintage sizing runs much SMALLER than modern sizing. So, even if an item has a size tag attached & you see it in the photo, please ignore it & go by the ACTUAL measurements I provide. Also, remember that the measurements are for the GARMENT, not YOU! You must allow some room for yourself! I suggest buying garments that measure at least 2 inches larger than your own body through bust, waist, hips & rise, or compare the measurements to a similarly-cut, well-fitting garment that you already own.

SALES TAX: Many states now impose a sales tax on internet purchases. For these states, eBay automatically charges, collects, & remits this tax. It is NOT part of the payment I receive. As the Seller, I have absolutely NO control over this, & CANNOT remove it. If you are a Tax-Exempt reseller buying inventory, please submit the required documentation to eBay. Once they review & accept it, you will be tax-Exempt. (It may take a week or longer!)
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: please be advised that items will be subject to a VAT or import tax in your country; again, I have NO control over this added cost.
RETURNS: I sell vintage & antique items that are unique or cannot be replaced. I strive to be as detailed & thorough as possible with my description & photos, so you will know exactly what to expect. In the VERY rare event that a U.S. buyer wants to return an item (only happened once in 20 years!), please know that I DO NOT refund ANY of the shipping costs either way, only the price of the item itself MINUS my incurred eBay fees will be refunded upon its safe return in the EXACT condition as it was originally sold. I must be contacted with your request the same day as you received the item, & item must be on its way back to me within 3 days of when you received it.
