    Description

    All Bisque Kestner 184 with Bent “Sitting” Legs. Stiff neck all bisque with loop jointed arms and legs. Blue intaglio eyes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth and blushed cheeks. Her legs are molded in a sitting position and a couple of authors of books on all bisques have speculated it was an experiment by Kestner to produce a doll that could sit more easily. She has molded/painted Two-strap black shoes with heels and brown soles. Her molded/painted white shirred stocking have a blue top band/garter. Her head is marked: 184. 4. Her legs are marked: 356. 4. Her left arm is marked: 4. Her right arm, which has probably been replaced (although it matches the other parts in skin tone and is of an appropriate size) is marked: 69. No condition issues noted other than a probable replaced arm. Unusual doll. Clean and re-strung.
