    Description

    This large antique Simon & Halbig "Baby Blanche" doll is marked S & H Baby Blanch on the back of her head and an 8 on the back of her lower neck.  Body is not marked.  She wears an older black synthetic wig which is styled in ringlets.  She wears what appears to be a "Mommie" made aqua cotton print dress, with a cotton slip and panties.  She also wears thin white socks and older black tie shoes.  This type of doll was produced in Germany by Simon & Halbig circa 1900.  She has stationary bluish gray eyes, rosy cheeks and 4 little teeth showing.  She also has pierced ears.
